Our 2002 circular

Elaine: Retired from Severn Trent to work from home as sewer modelling consultant and trainer. In theory only 10hrs/wk but actually much more. Idea was to give more time for tatting, sewing but in practice less time to tat as fewer train journeys.

Other excitement was completing 10 years on the Lavender boat at IWA rallies - Huddersfield this year - the crew had new lavender T-shirts for the occasion.

Peter: Another year of http://www.learndirect.co.uk - life of retirement leisure looks less inviting with the stock market at 4000 instead of 7000 sigh

Last SUGCR (Southampton University bellringers) dinner as President, succeeded at least in retiring from there. Super glass bell as a retirement present.

Day surgery on knee seems to have improved it - interesting experience in being overflowed from NHS to local private hospital. Food was super but only take those they think will have uncomplicated anaesthetics because of fewer facilitites. hmmmmm
Iain: Escaped - graduated with a 2:1 in Maths - from Bristol by pretending that he knew what he was talking about.

Since then, has completely failed to find anything remotely resembling something useful to do, and is now living on parental generosity.

Canalling: Copperkins was the first boat up the restored Anderton Lift’s east cassion since restoration after closure 20 years ago. And super 10-year celebration with all the other owners. Just the twelve trips this year. Christmas 2002 on Odyssey and Copperkins - just the 11 people for Xmas dinner, ice permitting.

Ringing: continued. For those who enjoyed last year’s 59 of Bob Minor - try this touch of Bob Major - 9leads:
BBPB,PBBPS - another Grandsire start.
