Our 2004 circular

Peter: My mother died in February: I conducted the funeral service as I had for my father six years before. For me it was a therapeutic experience to be able to do something practical at a sad time. Goodbye, too, to Suttons Lane, Mum’s home for 64yrs.Still working- cussedness survived the office politics with http://www.learndirect.co.uk and 55th birthday retirement on 31 July next looks increasingly attractive for which now have a my-height reclining chair; doesn’t really look like a commode, does it?

Canalling: Another 8 trips – and almost 11 weeks afloat – some wet! Leeds and back via Wigan completes the three Pennine crossings in three years. We have Odyssey for Xmas and Copperkins for New Year: think of us in the ice!

Elaine: http://www.scott-harty.com - still part-time on sewer modelling consultancy and courses, mainly working from home. Highlight was running a session at WaPUG - industry conference at Blackpool in November. I now have a spinning wheel to occupy the winter evenings as well as tatting, sewing, etc Organised the Lavender Boat at IWA rally again: and still having the occasional recognition from passing boaters of both this and the Waterworld TV programme from 1999.
