Sheffield Basin hosted a Stand-Up-Paddleboarding event in August (it's just a name: kneeling or sitting is just as good). This was part of the national
#PlasticPatrol
clean-up and awareness initiatives.
The excellent earlier work of C&RT and local volunteers had them finding meagre picking of floating plastic detritus that day, and it was a brilliant introduction to an excellent new way of experiencing the waterways. Every Basin Should Have One! |
