Canalling
Our 118 days afloat and 1300 miles on twenty boats and hardly any on Fulbourne which spent the year on the wrong side of Aylesbury's collapsed lock. Copperkins passed twenty sharing-years (ten was here). We tried the Mon&Brec; spectacular SouthWales canal hanging on the edge of the valley; its winter works finished just-in-time for us to see its southern half. Elaine: (and here and here and here) Still busy as Tower Captain and Chairman of WestRiding IWA - organising canal working-parties (and here and here), attending festivals (and here) and visits (and here), driving floating JCB, wheelhouse ride on a 650-tonne oiltanker, maybe the last IWA National Lavender Boat - and also talks on sewers (and here) to local groups. Maybe the spinning wheel can spin next year!. No bus pass yet despite 61st birthday. Tatting does well on journeys to meetings. Phone's colour is now ... |

Peter:
Still an IWA trustee and Canal and River Trust partnershiper for North East, with a bit of milepost painting: motorways and meetings use time better devoted to scanning old photographs (and here and here); five mins per slide and only nine thousand more to go. This 1992 trip took half as long to scan as the trip itself. Ringing: Collected four more handbells from Whitechapel Bellfoundry to make forty-two. Helping on courses (and here and here and here and here) and attending ringing dinners and local tours. Ranmoor's teaching technology refreshed: bell-cameras, simulator, wall-screen; lots of learners; eighteen at practice for BobDoubles as best effort, (or maybe a go at Kent if Elaine shouts enough); more ringers needed even for this 240 GrandsireDoubles - with consecutive plain leads and each row at hand and back: SppSpBppBpSB for 2435 and repeat. |

Still bicycling, and not fallen off this year. The naming-pin almost made them namesakes, to his (1992) displeasure. |
